Sandton, Johannesburg · Technical production
DTP specifies, rigs and runs the audio, lighting and video that carry your event. One crew, accountable for the whole technical picture.
About
DirectTechnicalProjects (Pty) Ltd is a technical production company based in Sandton, Gauteng. We work on live events across South Africa.
A room is a technical problem before it is anything else. Where the speakers hang, how the light falls, whether the camera can see the stage, what happens when a channel drops out at 19:40. We answer those questions early, put the right kit in the right place, and stay on the desk until the last guest leaves.
Because the whole technical scope sits with one team, there is nobody to point at when something needs solving. That is the point of working direct.
Our Offering
01
PA design that suits the room, front of house and monitor mixing, radio mics that hold up in a full hall, and a desk that stays manned for the whole run.
02
Lighting design, plots and programming. Enough light on faces for the cameras, enough atmosphere in the room for the audience, and cues that land on time.
03
Multi-camera capture, vision mixing and screen content, cut live and streamed out clean. Recording masters handed over before we leave site.
04
Trussing, staging decks, motors and power distribution, loaded in and signed off properly. The unglamorous half of the job, and the half that keeps everyone safe.
We walk the venue, take the dimensions, find the power and the rigging points, and ask what the room has to do.
You get a kit list, a crew list, a plot and a number. Everything on the quote is something the event actually needs.
We load in early enough to test properly, run the cues with your speakers or performers, and fix problems while there is still time.
Operators stay on the desks for the whole show. We strike, account for the kit, and hand over recordings.
Send the date, the venue and roughly how many people. We will come back with what it takes to make it work.
