About

The crew behind the desk
when the room fills up.

DirectTechnicalProjects (Pty) Ltd is a technical production company based in Sandton, Gauteng. We work on live events across South Africa.

A room is a technical problem before it is anything else. Where the speakers hang, how the light falls, whether the camera can see the stage, what happens when a channel drops out at 19:40. We answer those questions early, put the right kit in the right place, and stay on the desk until the last guest leaves.

Because the whole technical scope sits with one team, there is nobody to point at when something needs solving. That is the point of working direct.

  • Kit specification
  • Rig, run, strike
  • Operators & crew

How a job runs

  1. 01

    Brief and survey

We walk the venue, take the dimensions, find the power and the rigging points, and ask what the room has to do.

  2. 02

    Spec and quote

You get a kit list, a crew list, a plot and a number. Everything on the quote is something the event actually needs.

  3. 03

    Rig and rehearse

We load in early enough to test properly, run the cues with your speakers or performers, and fix problems while there is still time.

  4. 04

    Run and strike

Operators stay on the desks for the whole show. We strike, account for the kit, and hand over recordings.

Tell us about the room.

Send the date, the venue and roughly how many people. We will come back with what it takes to make it work.
